The major software upgrade in January 19-20, 2025 may affect some users. If you come across any problems review the change list below and other pages on this site. If you did not find a solution contact the administrator for an advice.

  1. New headnode emerald with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6. Previous headnode was desert with SLE-HPC 15 SP4.
  2. New operating system on compute nodes SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6, previously SLE-HPC 15 SP4.
  3. Slurm workload manger was updated from version 22.05.5 to 23.02.7.
  4. New Intel oneAPI compilers and OpenHPC packages are installed. Older versions were preserved, but new versions may be used if exact version is not specified.
  5. User crontab files were migrated from desert to emerald.
  6. Previous headnode was desert was not upgraded and will be retired in coming weeks.
  7. Auxiliary server coral is disabled.
  8. New network aliases added: head.hpc for the current headnode and slurm.hpc for Slurm server. Please, change old headnode name desert to new names head or slurm in your scripts.
  9. New disk /home/data was added.
