Brief technical details about the cluster #

The cluster contains one main headnode (h1), one auxiliary headnode (h2), and 26 computing nodes (cl1n001 — cl1n026).

Main headnode (h1) #

  • Server Alkazar R2D56 G3.
  • 16 cores (two 8-core processors Intel Xeon E5-2630v3@2.40GHz).
  • RAM: 64 GB.
  • HDD: system disk 240 GB.
    Raid disk /data90t (90 TB) for user data. This disk is available on all nodes. The disk is shared by three groups: users, geosci, and biomath. The total size of each group is limited.
  • OS: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP2 (x86_64).

Auxiliary headnode (h2) #

  • Server Alkazar R2D56.
  • 12 cores (two 6-core processors Intel Xeon X5650@2.67GHz).
  • RAM: 16 GB.
  • HDD: system disk 1.5 TB.
    Two raid disk /data4t (4 TB), /data14t (14 TB) for user data. These disks are available on all nodes.
  • OS: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3 (x86_64).

Computing nodes (cl1n001 — cl1n004) #

  • Compute Node Arbyte Alkazar R2Q50.
  • 16 cores (two 8-core processors Intel Xeon E5-2665@2.40GHz).
  • RAM: 64 GB.
  • HDD: 300 GB.
    Each node have a local disk for user data under path /data2 (240 GB).

    Computing nodes cl1n014 and cl1n015 are down due to PSU malfunction, nodes are discarded from the queue system.
